Anna + James // Normanton Church + The Falcon Hotel
What a wedding! At one of my favourite venues – Normanton Church, a place you have to embrace the elements – often blustery but it never fails to please! This wedding had all of my favourites elements … a bride who literally beamed all day with excitement and happiness but at the same time was laid back and full of love for her family and friends. Big skies, views for miles, by the water, laughter, lots of interaction and finally the sun came out in the afternoon too. When I left, I said to Anna ‘I have had the best day’ and I really had!
If you haven’t been to Normanton Church, it is worth a trip to Rutland Water. You can walk all the way round and the views are gorgeous. The walk down from the car park takes your breath away and there are lots of little places you can stop for ice-cream or coffee. After the ceremony we all headed to The Falcon Hotel in Uppingham for their reception. Their courtyard had beautiful sunshine and the drinks were flowing. As the afternoon wore on, you could feel the hum in the room increase as guests relaxed, I would say began to get merry and laughter got louder. It was a fabulous atmosphere. Keep your eye out for the cake, which was made my James’ mum (it is seriously incredible!) and all the beautiful flowers by grandma.
I left the evening with the dance floor full, my toe tapping and my hips shimmying to the fabulous band. Lots of love and congratulations to you both. Jo x
