I fell in love with Hunters Hall as soon as I saw it … the big barn, high ceilings, the details and all set in the amazing countryside. It really is the perfect place for your wedding and represents Norfolk is such a country and rustic way. Its beautiful! However before we get to Hunters Hall the day started with my absolute favourite part of the bride preparation, this is when you can feel the nerves and excitement, the conversations are happy, dads tend to stay in the kitchen and more often than not there’s tears (but happy tears!). I left Lizzie with her family after she was in her dress and headed over to the stunning Aylsham Church … guests were arriving, all the grooms men had their jobs in hand and Chris was super excited!
I really have to mention the Ceremony here. It was so personal to Chris & Lizzie and throughout everybody was still with interest for the stories and the service. Both Chris, Lizzie, guests and myself smiled throughout – it was so touching. After the ceremony, I think in the space of 20 minutes we experienced every weather possible – bright sunshine, blue skies, cold, cloud, rain and hail – I kid you not! It made the groups fun starting outside and then heading into the church to finish off before heading over to Hunters Hall for the hot chocolate, winter pimms and the reception. It looked beautiful with candle light and had such a wintery feel to it.
The rest of the day was spent enjoying rustic winter food for the wedding breakfast, lots of wine, fantastic speeches, laughter, a fantastic and lots of dancing. It really was a great day, full of both touching moments and fun and I had just the best time. A great big congratulations to you Mr & Mrs Mathews. JO xx
