On Monday I got to meet up with and work with some amazing creatives from within the Peterborough and Spalding Area to pull together the most amazing 1940’s Styled Shoot at Sophie’s Vintage Tea Rooms. We had been sourcing the venue and the suppliers for what seemed like ages and suddenly the day was here. All the suppliers met at the tea rooms to set up and organise the day before the models arrived ready for hair, make up and styling (all credits and those involved listed at the end of the page) … it didn’t take long for chatter, talking about the 1940’s and laughter to happen before we moved into the photography.
Each model had their own storyline to get a feel for the day, for themselves to feel in character and so that the photography had an element of story and emotion attached to it. Here is just a little peek and the storylines ….
Louise ~ A Glamourous young starlet with lots of self belief and fearless. The men love her and the women want to be her.
Nicki ~ A Fashion conscious kept woman. She moves int he right circles and is strong and proud and will always look her best.
Louise & Gary ~ They are sweethearts and completly in love. Devoted to each other, make each other smile and will often get lost in their own worlds. Gary is heading off to war and they are saying their goodbye.
Gary ~ A young proud man but naive to the horrors of the war.
Louise ~ Is sweet, young and loves her man. She remains innocent and is proud of her man.
The team working around us for the day were fantastic and I would completly recommend all of them – it was so much fun getting lots of creatives together for the day. Thank You so much to everybody involved. xx
